Filming in Château Rúbaň
At the end of last year we created a video for the winery Château Rúbaň. Here’s a peek behind the scenes of the shoot.
The preparation of the shoot was mainly focused on creating the atmosphere through individual scenes. The shots are guided through the course of the day, from dawn in the vineyards, through the forest park in the morning, the wedding party and reception, to sunset and a visit to the cellar with friends. The story is set in the early morning landscape around the village of Rúbaň, an undiscovered area of quiet, peaceful countryside, and it is Château Rúbaň that breathes new, vibrant life into the region.
The voiceover was also important in the preparation, as it not only follows the visual line, but also constructs its own storyline. The choice of voice actress and her intonation of the spoken word sensitively brought out the emotions in the video in the right places. Voiceover in written form:

Seal tomorrow
The last of the three basic pillars is the musical component. Inspiration comes from classical music. The minimalistic sound of the piano is gradually filled with ambient sounds, other instruments and culminates in a complex track.
The idea was to create a visual that would present Château Rúbaň as a place fresh, full of experiences, friendly, with a hint of mystery, so that everyone could fill it to their liking. A blasphemer who lives all forms of love.
Production:
The penultimate week of September 2019 was chosen for the shoot. It started right away on Friday in the afternoon. In addition to the preparatory organization and equipment layout, they managed to shoot the scenes in the forest park and the wedding entertainment and architecture in the later hours.
On Saturday it was necessary to get up in the morning to catch the rising sun over the vineyards. The weather was good, so natural light was given a chance, which is usually one of the most difficult techniques, because the lighting of the scene depends only on the position of the sun at the moment.
Filming of the tasting, sunset and cellar scenes took place a few weeks later.
Subsequent post-production consisted of sorting and legal grading of the footage. A rough concept is created within 4 hours, where you can already see the basic construction and emotion from the video. Meanwhile, a voiceover was recorded, timed exactly to the second of the entire video. After the music was added, the shots were adjusted to match the rhythm and dynamics of the song. Finally, an animation is added, which is displayed using an effect and concludes the entire video clip. The winery is defined by its dreamy atmosphere, architecture and nature.
